The kitchen is located on the upper level to the right of the main entrance. The spacious kitchen area is built around a central black granite island/breakfast bar that incorporates a circular stainless steel sink and mixer tap.
Built into the island are stainless steel fronted draws and a cupboard for housing utensils, pots and pans and waste bins. A glass panel with concealed lighting covers the rear of the cupboards and forms the necessary knee space of the breakfast bar. Over the island is suspended task lighting.
To the right of the island are floor to normal ceiling height built in cupboards that incorporate Siemens:
• combination microwave oven,
• conventional oven
• built in refrigerator with freezer compartment.
Either side of these cupboards are floor to door height windows (double glazed) which provide views of the landscape to the north of the house.
The back wall of the kitchen has five low wall hung cupboards, with a thick black granite work surface that incorporates a Siemens five ring gas hob. Behind the hob is a matching black granite splash back with full width Siemens vented extractor fan. Concealed lighting provides mood lighting below the cupboards, whilst down lights provides task lighting.
All cupboard doors are made of solid red gloss-finish Parapan (solid acrylic).
Beyond the kitchen a large sliding door provides access to a two-part utility room. The first section has a continuous granite work top with up-stand, which incorporates a stainless steel sink and drainer unit with a flexible mixer tap. There are storage cupboards below the sink. Above the sink is a large double glazed window, providing view of the landscape beyond.
The utility room also features a refrigerated wine store and a fully automatic Siemens washing machine.
The second section of the Utility has a wide draw unit, granite work top, tambour unit and bottle rack for storage.
From the kitchen a set of wide steps lead down from the kitchen area to the lounge and dining room area. The large dining area has a vaulted ceiling with suspended feature light. This area can easily accommodate a rectangular table that could seat up to twelve people.
The dining area is framed by two outside walls, featuring large sliding patio doors with fly screens and motorised aluminium shutters. These patio doors provide access to the paved patio areas. One area is covered by a pergola which is ideal for outdoor dining and incorporates a large gas fired barbeque.
